Detective wakes up during night
With morbid feeling deep inside
Pallor of stars and owl’s shriek bright
Tells that something isn’t right

Lanterns that shudder and death-lights that grow
On the window taps the crow
Shadows dance the cryptic waltz
Speaker cracks, on radio turns

“Breaking news are on the line
The land has trembled from a crime
On Nick Holmes’ Passage 49
Bloodbath with no corpses found

Killer unknown, no clues, no tracks
Inscribed with blood he left a text:
“Take a look at yourself and resurrect”
Stay tuned, we’ll keep you up to date”

The moon-lit ground
ANGST
Hides in the shadows
MIST
And darkness are veiling the sight

He turns off the radio and smirks
“The game is on!” is in his thoughts
As in the ground the corpses rot
The slipknot tightens on one’s throat

It happens so that sometimes thou
Forget the essence of your aim
And thine desire’s wicked flame
Burns out the sanity of sane

The moon-lit ground
ANGST
Hides in the shadows
MIST
And darkness are veiling the sight

Let’s get to our story back
Our hero is completely awake
To solve the quest he just can’t wait
He can’t resist to swallow the bait

He takes the necessary tools
Walks down the hall, puts on his coat
But then appears a sudden thought
That there is something he forgot

Car keys were left on second floor
By now he couldn’t stay no more
He rushed upstairs like never before
When all of a sudden wind slams the door

He marks that window is wide-open
And on the sill there sits a crow
Its empty eyes stare in the distance
Of destiny that lay before
