Raven Cult, the time has come for a very personal release. This song was originally released before we became Raventhorn, and it was called "Time to Live... Time to Die". It was based on a book with the same title by Erich Maria Remarque. Back then we were singing about the horrors of war as the thing of the past, something to learn from and to never repeat. It saddens me to see that in 2022 we are once again on the same path of bloodshed, that it has become daily life for so many people. It makes me furious when I see what has become of my country. I felt like as a musian I have the power to speak out and be heard, and even though I never wanted to connect my music with politics, this anger and sadness is what I really felt all this time, and anything other than this would just not be genuine. I wanted to rerecord "Time to Live... Time to Die" for a very long time, and I think that it was fated to be released now, connecting the horrors of the past with the present. We can only put an end to this together. Help the ones in need and spread awareness, so many lives depend on us.
